“STUPID EP”
Available may 9th on CD & streaming
STUPID EP, the first physical release from Cork Band, Ash Red, is a standalone collection of five tracks recorded during the sessions for the band’s upcoming debut album.
The EP includes two re-recorded versions of early songs (The Stupid Song and Downtown), along with three previously unreleased originals.
Recorded at Claycastle Studio in Youghal, the EP captures a raw and direct snapshot of a band in transition—bridging the gap between their earlier sound and their upcoming album
MERCH
Ash Red are an alternative rock/post-punk band formed in January 2019 in Cork, Ireland. Initially starting as a four-piece, the group evolved into their current line up, a three-piece outfit comprised of Arthur Murray on guitar and vocals, Tadhg O’Keeffe on bass and backing vocals, and Isaac Walsh on drums. Their sound reflects themes of isolation, desire, and defiance, with lyrics and compositions that mirror the challenges of feeling like an outsider in a conformist society. Over the years, the band has experienced dynamic changes in its line-up and creative direction, gaining momentum through energetic live performances across Ireland and the UK, and establishing a distinctive voice that resonates with both local and international audiences.
BOTH ASH REDS DEBUT EP AND DEBUT ALBUM WILL RELEASE IN 2025
